Tia Cassmira is a first-generation Trinidadian American actress from Queens, New York. She graduated from Professional Performing Arts High School in 2015 as a Drama Major, and holds a BFA in Acting from Mason Gross School of the Arts. In addition to studying in London at Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, she has also completed the British American Drama Academy's Midsummer in Oxford and Midsummer Conservatory Program. Currently, Tia is on the 2024 Reading Committee for Expand the Canon and can be seen miming alongside Broken Box Mime and performing with Recent Cutbacks.

Tia hopes to be involved with both classical and contemporary, new works that tell stories and give voice to underrepresented, strong women. With a knack for comedy, Tia also looks forward to sharing the gift of laughter and play that is grounded in physical storytelling.
